Overview of Experiences and Interests

Education

Ph.D. Washington State University, Pullman, WA - May 1995
Engineering Science, Biosystems Engineering: Hydrology

M.Eng. Cornell University, Ithaca, NY - August 1991
Civil & Environmental Engineering: Hydrology and Hydraulics

B.S. Cornell University, Ithaca, NY - May 1990

Specialization

My current interests mostly involve understanding interactions between physcial hydrology and ecosystems. The ultimate goal of my research is to develop better strategies for protecting water quality and the "natural" environment from the consequences of human activities, including global climate change.

My primary experiences are in areas related to hydrology and water resources including watershed-wide hydrological processes (surface and subsurface), environmental fluid dynamics and contaminant transport, cold-regions hydrology, watershed modeling (e.g. distributed), sediment transport and erosion, groundwater pollution, environmental biophysics, evapotranspiration, and watershed biogeochemistry.
